The Town of Webb appointed department heads for the ensuing year, including Scott Gaffne as superintendent of public works; Jeff Gabriel for snowmobile trail maintenance; Kevin Crest for McCauley Mountain; John Williams as code enforcement officer; Tina UK as assessor; Michael Farmer as publicity director; Alex Ross as chief operator of the wastewater treatment plant; Jason McKay as chief of police; and Jason Villar as BTI.
The board approved retaining Miller Manx and Shockner and Hafner for legal services for the town. Committee assignments across departments were announced (examples: Department of Public Works—Councilman Ross and Councilman Hannah; Wastewater—Councilman Lindsay). The board also appointed fire inspectors (John Williams and Steve Baker) and named Chris Stanley of the Old Forge Fire Department as deputy fire inspector; Christy Rubio was appointed town historian for 2026. Don Swinesburg was appointed registrar of vital statistics and public access officer; Nancy T. Russell was named deputy town clerk; Kelly Hunkkins was named budget officer; and Jennifer Worland was appointed assistant to the supervisor.
Why it matters: These appointments assign administrative responsibility for daily town operations, public records, legal representation and interdepartmental coordination for the coming year.
Follow-up: Department heads and committees should coordinate handoffs and report any outstanding tasks at the upcoming audit meeting.
