Tama County supervisors keep current chair, retain Heather as vice chair

The Tama County Board of Supervisors moved to keep the current leadership configuration for 2026 and retained the existing vice chair.

During an organizational item the board discussed continuing the rotation tradition but agreed to keep the incumbents in place. A supervisor proposed that the chair remain in place and that Heather stay vice chair; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. The board noted that fewer members this year made consolidating leadership simpler and that keeping the existing chair and vice chair would provide continuity for the year ahead.

The board did not record a roll-call tally for the voice vote. Supervisors said they would proceed with the officer roles for 2026 and move on to the rest of the organizational agenda.
