Engineering firm to propose siting for bandshell, access road and two high‑power EV chargers

The town engineering firm CPL is preparing a plan to place the selected bandshell in Hamlet Park, to design a gravel access road from the sheriff’s station parking lot to the bandshell site, and to identify a suggested location for two high‑power electric vehicle charging stations in that parking lot. The committee noted the town has received a state grant to support the EV chargers, though the meeting notes did not specify grant name or amount.

Committee members said CPL’s plan will guide siting decisions and serve as the basis for later permitting, site preparation and budget estimates. The committee did not set a schedule for CPL’s deliverable during the Feb. 7 meeting.
