Volunteers sought for Flag Day, Easter egg hunt and other Hamlet events; memorial scheduled

The Hamlet Committee reviewed upcoming community events and volunteer needs. The Flag Day parade in Hudson on June 13 will need volunteers to walk alongside the Knox Train cannon float. The Easter Egg hunt is set for March 28 (Palm Sunday); volunteers are needed to stuff plastic eggs, and the Firehouse was discussed as a backup location if snow remains — Supervisor Mike Dvorchak will contact Emily Stalker about that contingency.

Chair Shannon Bell said she will look into arranging a Shakespeare production in Hamlet Park for a July weekend. Separately, Supervisor Dvorchak told the committee a celebration for Tom Carty is planned at the Firehouse on April 25. The committee also noted that the Memorial Day weekend flea market could be affected if the bandshell project is underway.
