Supervisor thanks local fire companies for serving as warming stations after storm

During the Jan. 2 reorganizational meeting Supervisor John Syracuse recognized local fire companies for their assistance after a recent storm. Syracuse thanked the Olcott Fire Company and Miller Hose Fire Company for keeping their fire halls open as warming stations for residents who were without power.

"It's important that our residents know that they have Fire Hall Stations right here in Town to assist them in times like this where there is no heat, no way to prepare food, no way to charge electronics, etc.," Syracuse said. Board members expressed gratitude to the volunteer organizations and reminded residents of local resources available during outages.

The supervisor also reminded the public that the Jan. 8 work session was canceled and that the next regular town board meeting will be held on Jan. 28 at 7:00 p.m.
