Council approves Palm Sunday dinner, Dog Festival and Beer Fest permits

Under Public Safety items, council approved three community-event requests. The Milton Fire Department was granted permission to hold its 30th Palm Sunday Drive-Thru Ham Dinner on April 2, 2023; Mayor Aber approved suspension of "no parking" regulations on Ridge Avenue near the station to allow parking for the event. Council approved an amended request from 4 Paws Sake to hold the Dog Festival at Brown Avenue on May 13, 2023.

Council also approved a request from T.I.M.E. to hold its annual Beer Fest on Saturday, June 10, 2023, authorizing closure of Elm Street (from the area behind Marlin's to South Front Street) between 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. and use of the Milton Fire Police for the event. The minutes record Mrs. Meckley as opposed to the Beer Fest approval; the motion was made by Mr. Dale Pfeil and seconded by Mr. Swartz and "carried."
