Council weighs camera upgrades, accepts hall rental and hears sewer equipment update

Council members reviewed operational items including security-camera upgrades and a Teledair quote of $1,388.00 for a license-plate reader. Council members discussed placement challenges (vehicles entering from alternate approaches) and cross-jurisdictional considerations for PA vs. NY license plates.

The council approved a hall rental for an indoor yard sale and agreed to review the rental ordinance so office staff may make rental decisions without council action. Sewer superintendent Craig Lohmann reported replacing a battery at the Pennsylvania Avenue pump station after the generator failed to start during a power outage; once the battery and generator were running the high level alarm cleared. Lohmann also reported the delinquent sewer list had been reduced to $8,934.01.
