Council tables Select Ball request to use softball field for weekly play and tournaments

A request for recurring use of the city's baseball/softball field by a group described in the minutes as 'Select Ball' was discussed but tabled at the March 14 meeting. The group proposed practices three times a week and Saturday tournaments every two to three weeks, asked to use the concession stand, and said it would perform field repairs and assume player liability.

Mayor Rod Pavlock said he would contact Brazos Little League before following up with the requester, and the item was placed on next month’s agenda for further action. No formal motion approving field use was recorded in the minutes.
