Board approves Form 284 agreement, a budget amendment and payroll schedule

The Town Board approved three administrative items on Jan. 2: the Form 284 highway agreement, a budget amendment increasing line item 5110.4 by $10,000, and a payroll schedule for 2026. Mr. Sena moved to approve the Form 284 as submitted by Highway Superintendent Benny Karlson; Mrs. Ortman seconded and the motion passed 4-0. Bookkeeper Robin L. Miller requested the budget amendment; "Increase line item 5110.4 by $10,000.00 totaling $469,245 due to error," the minutes record. The board approved the amendment on a motion by Richard Sena.

On payroll timing, the board authorized payroll due on the last day of the month with payments the second Tuesday for hourly and salaried general-fund employees; highway payroll will be every other Friday. The motions were recorded and entered into the town minutes.
