Leadership milestones and attendance noted at Westwood board retreat

Facilitator Deborah Macon had board members and staff state when they first arrived in the Westwood district and when they began service. The record shows President Cheryl Bell entered the district in 2001 via her children’s enrollment and joined the board in 2008; Vice President Timothy Emery entered the district in 1955 and joined the board in 1998; Secretary Sarah Ward entered in 1954 and joined the board in the 2010s; Trustee Angela Hopkins joined the board in 2018.

Macon noted that, although several board members have served for years, three of the four officer roles are new to their current incumbents and the activities were intended to help those officers learn one another’s approaches.
