Salem Township supervisors adopt local disaster declaration, pass Resolution 8-2026

The Salem Township Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a declaration of local disaster emergency and adopted Resolution 8-2026 during an emergency conference-call meeting on Jan. 25, 2026. Supervisor Bob Zundel moved the measure, and Supervisor Todd Paulich seconded; all three supervisors voted in favor.

The motion, recorded in the minutes as “Motion made by Bob Zundel and seconded by Todd Paulich to approve a disaster declaration in Salem Township and approve Resolution 8-2026,” was reported by Kerry Jobe as "highly recommended by both Fred Cecchini and Bobby Rosetti." The board’s recorded vote lists Kerry Jobe, Bob Zundel and Todd Paulich as voting for the motion. The minutes state simply: “Motion passed unanimously.”

Officials did not list additional operational details or a sunset date for the declaration in the minutes. The board’s action was accompanied in the minutes by a notice that a public hearing is scheduled for Feb. 18, 2026 at 6:00 p.m., followed by the regular meeting at 7:00 p.m. at the Salem Township Municipal Building.
