Mayor Pro Tim Renick pitches elderly outreach program, seeks volunteers

Mayor Pro Tim Renick told the meeting he wants to start an elderly-outreach program and invited residents to get involved with services such as food assistance, visits, and rides to medical appointments. He said this was an initiative he had hoped to bring to the council and that a local group (JVIC) had expressed interest in partnering.

Renick provided a contact path for residents who want to help and emphasized working with neighbors to prevent violations by assisting elders with home upkeep rather than immediately pursuing code enforcement. "So if anyone wants to reach out to me, my email is..." he said while inviting volunteers to participate.
