Hale Center ISD board amends District of Innovation Plan, adopts changes to local policy list

The Hale Center Independent School District Board voted 6–0 on March 21 to amend its District of Innovation Plan, updating the district's list of local policy designations. The amendment, moved by board member Chance Crossland and seconded by Troy McGann, records the change to the plan adopted March 9, 2026 and was approved by the six board members present.

The approved amendment deletes EEP(LOCAL) — Instructional Arrangements: Lesson Plans — and adds DGBA(LOCAL) (Personnel Management Relations: Employee complaints/grievances), FNG(LOCAL) (Student Rights and Responsibilities: Student and Parent Complaints/Grievances), and GF(LOCAL) (Public Complaints).
