Gladewater ISD trustees approve purchase orders over $25,000 at special meeting

The Gladewater ISD Board of Trustees voted 5-0 on May 25 to approve purchase orders in excess of $25,000 during a special meeting at the district administration office. Trustee Garth Cockerell made the motion to approve the purchase orders; Trustee Corina Arevalo seconded. Trustees Jeff Cook and Ross Morgan were absent from the meeting.

The board approved the items "as presented." The motion passed with five yeas and no nays. No dollar amounts or vendor names were disclosed in the public motion on the record. No members of the public signed up for the open forum portion of the meeting.

The meeting, called to order at 6:00 p.m., recorded five trustees present: Corina Arevalo, Rickie Blackmon, Danielle Budro, Garth Cockerell and Chris Thompson. The session adjourned after the vote following a motion by Trustee Arevalo and a second by Trustee Cockerell. Rae Ann Patty and Candy Keller were listed as also in attendance.
