Creek Club asks city for repairs, equipment and cost-sharing on ice machine

Creek Club representative Kretta Menuey told the council the group needs several repairs and pieces of equipment, including repair of the concession-stand door, a tiller for the volleyball area, space for a storage shed, and permission for a bounce house at events. She asked the council to consider sharing the estimated $3,500–$5,000 cost of an ice machine, proposing each of the Creek Club, the City and the Fire Department pay one-third.

Menuey also reported the Creek Club carries liability insurance. The minutes record a liability-insurance figure of $1,339.52 and note the mayor will sign and the clerk will prepare a check. The Creek Club said it will pursue a Southland Community Foundation grant application for a Nexus 'Kiddie Carnival.'
