Ponderosa CSD authorizes new bank signatories after account holders found deceased

The Ponderosa Community Services District board voted unanimously on Jan. 24 to update authorized signatories on its checking accounts after learning the listed signatories were deceased. Director G. O’Neill moved to designate General Manager Tom Griesbach, Treasurer Kirk Klemcke and Secretary Jennifer Robertson as the authorized signatories at US Bank (formerly Union Bank); Director F. Ohnesorgen seconded and the motion carried unanimously.

Treasurer Kirk Klemcke told the board that, to the best of the secretary’s knowledge and record review, the existing signatories were Mike Moroney and Julie Landers and both are deceased, and that the bank will require an excerpt of minutes and a letter naming the new signatories. The board approved the change and discussed providing the documentation requested by the bank before the next payment cycle.
