Ponderosa CSD reports leak repairs and broken backup plow as snow season continues

Water operations staff reported a recent leak repair site has been refilled with compacted dirt and will remain until weather allows paving. A supply valve leak at a rental property on Summit led staff to add a meter; operations noted the neighboring property served by the same supply line also needs a meter.

Snow operations staff said the PCSD truck's plow hydraulics failed but have since been repaired. A private backup plow used earlier sustained broken support brackets and has been removed from service, leaving the district without that backup; if the PCSD truck becomes non-operational, crews will use blowers. Staff reported roughly 2 feet of new snow since the last report and about 6 feet for the season to date.
