Test Inc. pitches weekly service and monitoring for Dakota's water and sewer operations

The Village of Dakota Board heard a presentation from guest Chris Perra of Test Inc. on options for water and sewer operator services. Perra said the family-run company uses a team of licensed operators and digital and paper records to ensure compliance and continuity; "They like to be in town once a week to make sure everything is going well," he said.

Perra walked the board through processes used during the early stages of a sewer pond project and recommended monitoring the local school to help justify where the majority of water is used. He also advised that each lift station have a dedicated generator to reduce outage risk. Perra told the board the company can pull multiple licensed operators to cover an emergency and can remotely guide maintenance staff until an operator arrives in person.

The company proposed providing quarterly reports and granting the board access to a maintenance log and memo feature in the firm's app so records are available to trustees. No formal contract or vote on hiring Test Inc. was taken at the March 21 meeting; the presentation was recorded for future consideration.
