Councilmember moves to approve multi-jurisdiction mutual-aid agreement

Councilmember S2 moved to approve a mutual-aid agreement that would link Ballinger with neighboring municipalities and volunteer fire departments for emergency response.

S2 read the participating entities aloud and described the purpose: "I will move to approve the mutual aid agreement between the city of Ballinger, the city of Winters, the city of Miles, the Winters volunteer fire department, the Miles volunteer fire department, the Wingate fire volunteer fire department, and the Rollington fire department to to provide law enforcement and or fire suppression services upon direct request from and to each entity." The motion was seconded and approved by voice vote after Chair S3 asked for final approval.
