Council reads canvas of election results and administers oaths to elected councilmembers

At the meeting a staff member (S4) read Resolution 25-11-01 canvassing the election returns and stating the winners for three council seats.

S4 read that "Marty Akins received the majority of the votes cast and was elected to Ballenger City Council Place 1. John Fulton received the majority of the votes cast and was elected to Ballenger City Place 2. And Darvin Kelly received the majority of the votes and was elected to Ballenger City Council Place 3." The council then proceeded with administering the oath of office. A clerk (S6) administered the oath and multiple inductees responded, "So help me God."

The council asked for motion to accept the canvas; acceptance and swearing-in proceeded in sequence during the session.
