Weber County approves consent agenda, signs off on $429,000 in purchase orders and nearly $3M in warrants

The Weber County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved the meeting's consent agenda (items G1–G13) during its May 12 session.

County staff outlined the financial items included in the consent agenda. "As far as purchase orders, we issued 36 P.O.s for $429,000," county staff member Ricky Hatch said, adding breakdowns for major categories. Hatch also told commissioners: "Total warrants were 161 for $993,000" for one warrants cycle and noted a separate set of 195 warrants for about $1.3 million for the following week.

The items covered a range of routine approvals: purchase orders and warrants, a request from emergency management to surplus a cargo trailer, a second amendment to a food service contract increasing inmate meals, a public hearing date for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) project scope (May 26), a construction agreement with Link Construction, a real property lease with Diamond Tree Experts, a revised scope for landfill post-closure care, bond approval for Ogden Friends of Acoustic Music to hold a festival at Fort Buenaventura, a deed-affidavit clarification for Loman View development and a retirement agreement for Tanya Simmons French.

Commissioner Jim Harvey moved to approve the consent items; a commissioner seconded and Chair Forell called for the voice vote. Commissioners voted 'aye' and Chair Forell announced, "Motion carries." The consent approvals advance these routine contracts and administrative items without separate debate.
