Council approves consent package including trail planning funding, budget reports

The Highland Village City Council approved the consent agenda by a single motion and voice vote during its Aug. 11 meeting. Items approved included a resolution authorizing a project funding agreement with the Highland Village Community Development Corporation for planning services to obtain design and construction cost estimates for city trails, a resolution receiving an investment report through 06/30/2026, and receipt of budget reports for the same period.

A council member moved to approve the consent agenda and the motion was seconded; the motion carried 8-0. Councilmembers noted they preferred to keep the flood-damage ordinance as an action item for public presentation rather than shifting it into the consent agenda.
