The commission recorded the following actions during the Aug. 11, 2026 meeting:
- Approved minutes of July 14, 2026 and accepted staff findings of fact for this agenda.
- Continued the application for 77 K Street (convert garage to ADU) to Sept. 14, 2026 to allow submission of structural elevations, a window inventory and material cut sheets.
- Approved the concept at 39 Elm Street (replace bulkhead with a diamond-plate steel door) with a condition that the applicant work with the preservation planner on finish and color.
- Approved the renovation package for 21 Clay Street (roofing, selected window restorations/replacements and carriage-house modifications) with standard conditions requiring shop drawings and verification of historic openings during construction.
- Split the application for 562 Bellevue Avenue (Seacliff): approved chimney caps, louvers, railing replacement, demolition of a non-original bay and the tennis-court concept; continued the windows and doors package to Sept. 14 pending consultation with the building inspector on impact glazing requirements.
- Accepted an invitation to serve as a Section 106 consulting party for a federally funded North End stormwater project.
Where votes were recorded verbally, commissioners expressed support or concern in open discussion; where procedural continuation was requested the commission set the next review date.
