State clears Old Home Day site; board debates town-funded email accounts for committee

Staff member (S8) said the state (DES) issued a letter granting permission to hold Old Home Day at the Murphy Dam grounds and that insurance certificates for the fireworks company and the town had been submitted.

S8 relayed a request from David Coble for town-domain email accounts for the trustees and for the Old Home Day committee to run Venmo or vendor communications. Board members expressed reluctance to have the town pay the $108-per-year licensing fee for Outlook accounts and suggested the committee use free Gmail accounts or the town's generic office email instead. "If they want to use the town office email, I'll forward messages to the right people," S8 said.

The board agreed in principle that financial transactions for the event should remain separate from town accounts and that the trustees or committee should manage their own Venmo or vendor payments. S8 also reported Stonegarden grant reimbursements were current and that a reimbursement request of about $16,000 had been submitted.
