Homeowner seeks approval to bore drainage under sidewalk at 1512 Grove Place

A resident and city engineering staff described a small public-works request to extend a roughly 4-inch drainage pipe beneath the sidewalk at 1512 Grove Place so runoff will discharge to the street gutter instead of eroding the yard and nearby sidewalk. Amy Zeri, introduced in the meeting as the city engineer, summarized the project as a simple under-sidewalk bore that crosses the city right-of-way and therefore requires council approval.

The homeowner, who identified herself in the meeting as Hannah Graff, was present and answered council questions about the route and existing survey documents. Staff said the item will be scheduled for the council meeting in two weeks and encouraged councilmembers or interested residents to review the survey drawings before the hearing.
