The Pittsburg County Tax Roll Correction Board unanimously approved two tax-roll corrections at a special meeting on Aug. 10, 2026. The board acted after staff noted that fractional splits for two parcels failed to carry capped values forward, affecting assessments for tax year 2025.
The items approved were complaint #5301 (Tax Year 2025, Kevin D. Keele) and #5302 (Tax Year 2025, Jenny Moore). Meeting minutes state that both items involved a "fractional split" and that the "capped values did not come over" (Keele) or "did not come forward" (Moore), language provided in the petitions reviewed by the board. Chairman Ross Selman moved to approve the tax-roll corrections; Cathy Ridenour seconded. The recorded vote was AYE: Ross Selman and Cathy Ridenour; NAY: None. Motion Passed.
The board met with a quorum of two members present; Matt McGowan was listed as absent during roll call. There was no unfinished business reported. Following the votes the board adjourned its special session.
