Town Administrator (S2) asked the board to authorize the chair to sign an agreement with Green Site Services to address an oil leak at a vacant property on Downing Road. S2 said the service will be funded by DES and the New Hampshire Petroleum Reimbursement Fund "so it's costing the town nothing" at present and moved that the chair be authorized to sign the agreement. The motion was seconded and approved by voice vote with board members responding "Aye." "We ask the select board for approval to sign the agreement with Green Site Services who will be working with the town on the oil spill cleanup at 22 Downing Road," S2 said.
Board members discussed whether other members needed to sign the document and confirmed the original agreement is in the signature file. The TA said she had shown the contract to town counsel during a visit and that the firm’s services are boilerplate environmental response work paid by state resources unless owner denial triggers reimbursement procedures.
