Public Works/transfer station and highway staff (S6) reported regular heavy loads of cardboard and aluminum that raise revenue for the town, ongoing maintenance on Valley Road and planned culvert replacements, and two‑person coverage at the transfer station that has required supervision coverage on Fridays. S6 said the cork‑board baler was serviced and the yard is otherwise operating well this summer.
Town Administrator (S2) relayed a request from the transfer‑station supervisor to increase the cash float from $50 to $150 to avoid trips offsite to make change. S2 moved to increase the float and asked the treasurer to implement internal accounting controls; the board discussed alternative customer payment options (slips, mail payments) and agreed to the motion pending confirmation of controls. "He's requesting that be increased from $50 to $150," S2 said when describing the supervisor’s request.
