Select Board approves propane lead/lag heating system for Town Hall building

The Select Board reviewed two proposals to address failing boilers and heating equipment at Town Hall: a repair option (~$24,890 for boiler replacement) and a propane lead/lag system (95% AFUE, proposed at roughly $24,899). Member S4 moved to select option 2 (propane system) and the board approved the motion by voice vote. S4 said his experience favored the propane option and noted efficiency benefits: "Well, because I've had very close experience... the propane was really better."

Town staff said that funds would be taken from the Town Hall Improvements Capital Reserve Fund and that the purchase order process would be used to track commitments. The board instructed staff to coordinate with trustees for fund availability and to process the PO so the work may proceed once contracting and scheduling are finalized.
