County auditor reports 99% of property‑tax budget collected, general fund 67% expended

County auditor Mr. Craddock summarized key figures from the June 2026 auditor's report during the Aug. 11 meeting and answered commissioner questions. He reported property‑tax revenue collections at approximately 99% of budgeted expectations for the year and noted that sales‑tax collections posted for April (reported in June) were about 10% higher than the prior year’s April.

On expenditures, Craddock said the general fund is about 67% expended through June while the fiscal year is roughly 75% complete; he attributed the lower percentage to a number of larger projects that have not fully drawn against appropriations. The auditor also reported the completion of a review of Justice of the Peace Precinct 4 in June. Commissioners moved to accept the report and the motion passed.
