Council reviews one-time fire department donations and prior agreements

Council members and staff reviewed recent payments and donations tied to the fire department. Lindsay explained that the budget includes a one-time donation figure (discussed as $16,000) and that a separate $13,000 agreement exists under a different arrangement.

Lindsay said, "We still pay all of their electricity, water, all of that," indicating the city continues to cover utility costs associated with those services. Council discussed that some referenced figures may have come from older reports and that payment arrangements should be confirmed in current agreements.

Members agreed to follow up to reconcile accounting and verify what has been paid under current contracts versus prior arrangements. No new payment was approved during the workshop; staff will clarify the accounting in subsequent documentation.
