Ramsey County board confirms Kendall Bobla as emergency management director

County Manager Becker introduced Kendall Bobla, who has previously worked in Connecticut and the Boston Office of Emergency Management, and presented her for the board's approval. Bobla said she was "honored to accept" the appointment and emphasized stewardship, regional partnerships and preparedness as her priorities.

Becker told commissioners Bobla had demonstrated leadership in incident coordination and resilience planning and that she had already been working with county teams on heat emergencies and election preparations. The board voted by roll call to confirm the appointment; all commissioners present voted aye and one commissioner (McMurtry) was excused.

Bobla said she looks forward to collaborating with county staff, municipal partners and community organizations to strengthen Ramsey County's preparedness and response capabilities. The county will integrate her role into ongoing election and large-incident planning.
