County Manager Becker described a refreshed employee-recognition program that replaces the longstanding achievement awards with a four-part system: values-and-action awards, quarterly department 'shining star' awards, a refreshed peer-to-peer 'high five' program, and a county-manager-level '1 Ramsey County' award to recognize cross-team excellence. Becker said the county will hold a formal recognition event each April during County Government Month.
Becker also reminded residents that primary-day polling places in Ramsey County were open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., that Minnesota allows same-day registration at precinct polling places, and that state law does not require registered voters to show ID to vote. The county thanked elections staff, volunteers and supporting departments for their work.
