At the start of the Aug. 11 meeting the board moved and approved the day's agenda and the minutes from Aug. 4 by roll call. Commissioners also approved a set of administrative items (appointments to the personnel review board, Capital Region Watershed Board, Capital Improvement Program Advisory Committee, parks and recreation member composition, and a project budget item), with item 8 (the emergency management director appointment) pulled for separate consideration.
Separately, the board confirmed Kendall Bobla as Ramsey County's director of emergency management by roll call; McMurtry was recorded as excused. The county will bring a formal hiring and budget request back to the board on Aug. 18 related to staffing for HR1 implementation.
These actions were procedural and administrative in nature; commissioners indicated additional budget-level decisions tied to HR1 impacts will be discussed in upcoming budget presentations.
