Presenter blames external arms flows and outlines mass killings, sexual violence and disease in camps

The presenter accused states beyond Sudan's borders of facilitating flows of deadly weapons that are deepening the conflict and prolonging suffering, and said those actions must cease immediately. "States beyond Sudan's borders continue to fuel the fire of this conflict by facilitating the flow of deadly weapons," the presenter said, tying external arms flows to extended violence and instability.

The speaker described widespread sexual violence, abductions, trafficking and child recruitment, and warned that disease — including cholera, measles, dengue and hepatitis — has been moving through displacement camps where families have fled multiple times. The presenter said more than 17,000,000 Sudanese children need humanitarian assistance and that, with partners, the United Nations brought more than 1,000,000 children back into some form of learning this year, though the presenter called those efforts insufficient.
