Emmet County supervisors approve Aug. 11 claims, correct two vendor entries

The Emmet County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously Aug. 11 to approve county claims, including corrections to two vendor entries and a ledger of prior payments totaling $135,467.24.

Supervisor Jeff Quastad moved to approve the August claims with two corrections: replace the vendor listed as "Armstong Library" with Joey Manwarren and adjust the payment amount to Young Brothers; Todd Glasnapp seconded and the motion passed with all ayes. The ledger of claims paid prior to the meeting lists line items including EBS health insurance for $125,713.07, Visa IT charges of $3,530.80, and various vendor payments that together appear on the July-to-date total of $135,467.24.

Separately, the board approved a Joint Drainage District claim for ECD #61 payable to the Emmet County Auditor for $130.64 (public hearing expenses) and an ECD #61 claim payable to Beck Engineering after a motion by Tim Schumacher and second by Jeff Quastad; that motion also passed unanimously. The meeting record shows routine approval motions and no recorded dissent on the claims votes.
