Athletics director reports steady participation, all‑conference and state qualifiers

The district’s director of athletics presented a spring athletics wrap‑up noting participation for spring sports remained around 28% of the high‑school student body and highlighted individual and team accomplishments across multiple programs.

He said baseball finished 9‑13 (8‑6 conference) with three first‑team all‑conference selections and noted player Cole Petitjean was invited to an underclass All‑American game. Boys tennis repeated as conference champions and featured a state singles champion; several doubles teams qualified for state. Track athletes also advanced to state and set a school record in the 800. The athletics director outlined two main goals for the upcoming year: increase participation in fall/winter and cultivate a healthy organizational culture for coaches and athletes.

The director said coaches completed surveys and staff will continue to emphasize a vision of servant leadership and meaningful relationships, which will be referenced in coach evaluations and season goal‑setting.
