Select Board lays out budget calendar, schedules public hearings for Jan. 25 and Feb. 4 (tentative)

Town staff walked the board through the FY budget schedule and deadlines, asking departments to finalize materials by September 30 and noting that internal review would occur October 2–20 with department‑head meetings later in October. “From October 2 to the 20th, we’ll be going through it, and we’ll be meeting with department heads from October 20 to the 30th,” staff said.

The board set tentative dates for public hearings, with January 25 identified as the first public hearing and February 4 as the second, and discussed calendar conflicts and how to compress the schedule if necessary. Members asked staff to share the budget presentation and worksheets used in prior cycles so the board can prepare.
