Partnership to draft one‑year plan; presenters propose website, property inventory and regular reporting

At the work session, presenters outlined concrete next steps toward a one‑year plan intended to make Polk City more marketable to developers and to support local businesses. "We're gonna draft a written plan and present that to the city council in September," one presenter said, and added the Partnership will include goals, activities, metrics and deliverables to make progress trackable.

Operational recommendations included creating an economic development web page on the city's website, integrating a property inventory that highlights sites available in Polk City, continuing developer outreach (including following up on any RFPs the city has issued) and identifying financial incentives to spur development. Presenters said these foundational items make the city easier to market to site selectors and developers.

The Partnership asked council members to prioritize focus areas via an anonymous sticky‑note activity to be collected during the break; council members also requested monthly in‑person updates so the Partnership's work remains transparent and accountable. The presenters agreed to plan for monthly reporting and to return with the draft plan in September.
