North Canaan selectmen enter executive session to discuss candidates for open seat

First Selectman Jesse Bunce and Selectperson Melissa Pinardi voted at a special Town of North Canaan meeting on Aug. 10 to move into an executive session to discuss potential candidates for an open selectman position. Selectperson Melissa Pinardi moved "to enter into Executive Session to discuss Connecticut Statute 1-200(6)(a) for potential candidates to fill the open selectman position," and First Selectman Jesse Bunce seconded; the minutes record that the motion carried.

The minutes show the board entered executive session at 7:02 p.m. and later recorded a motion by First Selectman Jesse Bunce "to exit Executive Session at 8:00pm," seconded by Selectperson Pinardi; the motion carried.
