Council awards parks/arts master‑plan contract using $50,000 grant with small local match

Staff said the city issued an RFP June 1, received two proposals (Conservation Techniques: $49,890; Cameron McCarthy: $62,448) and graded them with a four‑person review team. The contract will include community engagement components such as an online survey and focus groups and is intended to strengthen future grant‑seeking by updating the city’s arts master plan. A councilor moved to award the contract and the motion passed by roll call.

Staff said the project will be led by the awarded consultant and that staff will schedule community outreach after contract execution. The council did not record any amendments to the award at the meeting.
