Task Force approves revised Hannah Duston panel language; minor typographical change noted

The Duston Island Task Force voted to approve revised language for the Hannah Duston panel. Josiah Morrow reported that "The only change the Dustin Family Association was willing to make was a typographical correction regarding the numbering of women and children for consistency." Members raised questions about whether the reference to "two Native families" is supportable from headcounts and about timeline inconsistencies; Mr. Morrow agreed to check available records but the panel language was approved on a roll-call vote.

Elaine Clow moved to approve the updated language and the motion passed with all voting members present (Lorrie Carey, Denise Pouliot, Elaine Clow, Gary Waters, and Josiah Morrow voting yes). The committee recorded that source citation for the panel would be the Dustin Family Association and asked Mr. Morrow to source images and additional documentation.
