Select Board votes to accept Cutter Place as public road

The Hollis Select Board voted unanimously Aug. 10 to accept Cutter Place as a public Class 5 highway under RSA 674:40‑a.

Chair (S1) read Resolution 2026‑01, which notes the Planning Board approved the Wright Ayers subdivision plan recorded at the Hillsborough County Registry of Deeds as plan number 34544 and states that Flint Hill Real Estate Trust constructed Cutter Place to town road standards. After opening a public hearing and receiving no comments, a board member moved to accept the road; the motion was seconded and the board approved the resolution by voice vote.

"Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Hollis Select Board to accept Cutter Place as a public class 5 highway in accordance with RSA 674:40‑a," the chair read as part of the resolution. The board noted the construction maintenance bond will remain in effect until released by the public works director.

The acceptance transfers ownership and maintenance responsibility to the town, subject to release of the construction maintenance bond by the public works director. No additional conditions were recorded in the meeting minutes; staff referenced the recorded plan and applicable RSA during the motion and vote. The action was taken during the public hearing portion of the meeting and carried by unanimous voice vote.
