Council hears Colonias criteria and potential local eligibility

William Osborne described Colonias funding as a competitive two‑year set-aside that targets communities lacking potable water, adequate sewage, or decent, safe housing, and said Colonias projects must be shovel-ready with completed designs and environmental review.

Osborne noted SEAGO believes some Colonias-designated clusters exist in the SEAGO service area and advised the town to verify whether the local trailer park lies inside municipal limits and meets objective criteria; Mayor Wallace and Town Manager Suzanne Harvey discussed uncertainty about the map and whether the site was in city limits or Cochise County.
