Steven Tabler elected chair; Allison Ho chosen vice chair of San Mateo City Civic Arts Commission

Steven Tabler was elected chair of the San Mateo City Civic Arts Commission during the commission’s first meeting on Monday, Aug. 10. The nomination for Tabler was seconded, a roll-call vote was taken, and the motion was announced as passed. After the vote staff said they would "leave the gavel with you, Steven," handing formal meeting duties to the newly elected chair.

Commissioners also nominated and elected Allison Ho as vice chair by roll call. The commission recorded the vice chair vote as passed, and staff confirmed that the vice-chair role will fill the chair’s duties in the chair’s absence. Both elections were handled as formal motions and recorded in the meeting’s roll-call results.
