Kiantone names Community Building as polling place, Post Journal as official paper

At the Jan. 9 organizational meeting the Kiantone Town Board adopted Resolution #2-2020 establishing several administrative designations for 2020. The resolution designates the Community Building as the official voting location for the town and names the Post Journal as the official newspaper. The motion was recorded as carried with no opposition.

The resolution also names M&T Bank as the official depository for town funds, sets regular Town Board meetings for 7:00 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month (with adjustments in October and November for budget requirements), authorizes the tax collector to deposit tax collections in interest-bearing accounts as a temporary investment measure, and permits necessary bills to be paid monthly prior to audit. The minutes state the mileage reimbursement rate will follow the allowable IRS rate.
