The board opened several public hearings and compliance reports at the April 22 meeting. The agenda listed a second hearing and public comment period for the proposed Mendota Unified Board Policy 5141.21 (Administering Medication) and Administrative Regulation 5141.2 (Monitoring Health Conditions), allowing public input on the draft policy and regulations.
The board also announced hearings on the Mendota Unified 2015/16 "sunshine" proposals to the Mendota Teachers Association (MTA) and the district's responses to the California School Employees Association (CSEA). These items constitute the required public disclosure of proposals and are used to inform collective-bargaining negotiations.
In compliance with Education Code 35186, the district submitted Williams Uniform Complaint quarterly reports for two reporting periods, each showing no complaints filed at any school in the district (October–December 2014 and January–March 2015). The minutes list the code section specifically in the public-notice items.
