Springbrook Farm & Market highlights local food, 400-acre operation and community ties

The council's business spotlight featured Springbrook Farm and Market on Greeley Road. Owner Jeff Story told the council his operation sells meat, eggs and prepared foods directly to the community, employs about 10–12 people (including part-timers and students), and maintains a commercial kitchen and on-site butcher shop.

"We do about 200 turkeys a year right now," Story said, describing seasonal demand and community support. He said the farm spans nearly 400 acres across North Yarmouth, Cumberland and Falmouth and operates a membership prepay program with $150, $300 and $500 share options that give customers a 10% bonus on purchases. Councilors and residents praised the farm’s role in the local food system and encouraged others to buy local.
