EDC recommends seat on regional transportation task force, discusses parking outreach

During the working-groups update, the commission's Parking & Transportation group recommended that the EDC secure representation on a planned transportation task force "that's funded for fiscal year 2027 through 2032," a proposal the chair presented as part of the midyear reset discussion.

Separately, commissioners and staff discussed persistent awareness gaps for downtown parking programs. Staff noted the city enforces developers' Construction Mitigation Management Plans (CMMPs) when projects violate permit conditions, and commissioners suggested low-cost outreach tools — a one‑page PDF for employers, stickers at kiosks, and push notices in the ParkMobile app — to increase uptake of resident and worker parking programs.
