Paulding County assessors approve 2025 appealed-properties summary and 2026 digest submission rules

The Paulding County Board of Tax Assessors voted July 29 to approve the 2025 Appealed Properties Summary required by state law and to adopt the 2026 digest submission requirements for appealed properties under O.C.G.A. 48-5-304 and 48-5-311. Chief Appraiser James Stokes, Jr. presented both items; Member Lydia Rollins moved to approve the appealed-properties summary and Vice-Chairman Ben Amerson moved to approve the digest submission requirement. Both motions were seconded and carried with all five members voting in favor: McBurrows, Amerson, Spinks, Rollins and Griswell.

Board members recorded that a copy of the 2025 summary and the digest-submission documentation will be attached to the meeting minutes for recordkeeping. The actions implement posting and reporting steps tied to state statute and ensure staff follow the statutory deadlines and submission procedures for properties that remain under appeal in the 2026 digest process.
